Eligibility criteria of Navy Technical branch course

In order to apply for Indian Navy's Technical (General Service) Branch, applicant's date of birth should be between 02 January 1990 to 01 July 1995.   Applicants should have studied the following streams in engineering and must have secured 65% marks.

• Electronics Streams for Engineering branch
• Mechanical 
• Marine 
• Automotive 
• Mechatronics 
• Industrial & Production 
• Metallurgy 
• Aeronautical/Aerospace 
• B.S. Marine Engineering
• Electrical engineering streams for Electrical branch
• Electrical 
• Electronics 
• Telecommunication
• Instrumentation 
• Instrumentation and Control
• Electronics and Instrumentation 
• Electronics and Communication 
• Power Engineering 
• Control System Engineering
• Power Electronics

Applicants should not have color blindness and should be healthy. Minimum height for men is 157 Cms. Eye sight of candidates who are applying for Indian Navy Technical branch should not be worse than 6/24 without glasses and 6/6 with glasses.   All candidates who qualify for the technical branch will be given Short Service Commission in Indian Navy. 
  SSB interviews will be held during May to October 2014. Training will start in December 2014 at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.

How to apply for Navy Technical branch SSC course

Candidates need to apply online for Indian Navy Technical branch SSC course. After filling up the online application, candidates need to send the printout of application to the following address.  Post Box No. 04,  Chankya Puri PO,  New Delhi - 110 021.   Last date to fill up online application for the course is 26 March 2014.
