Seventh pay commission arrears to be paid in August

Today government has announced its decision about payment of arrears to all central government employees and pensioners. 

Earlier government cleared only payment increase as part of seventh pay commission implementation. 

Committee was formed to decide on payment of arrears and another committee was formed to look into the allowances that are to be paid as per seventh pay commission. 

Government has cleared basic pay increase by 2.57 times for all serving and retired employees of central government. 

But the government announced that the arrears will be paid before March 2017.

Exact month for arrears payment was to be decided by the government. 

Today government has announced that the arrears for basic pay fixed as per seventh pay commission will be paid along with the increased pay in the month of August. 

So it is very special announcement for eagerly waiting central government employees.
