Eligibility criteria
Applicants may be married or unmarried Indian males. There are total 50 vacancies available in 41st short service commission (Technical) men course. The course is likely to commence in October of 2013 at Officers Training Academy (OTA). B.E. or B. Tech graduates or final year students may fill up the applications.Age limit - In order to apply for SSC (Tech) - 41 Men, applicants age must be between 20 to 27 years i.e., applicants must be born between 02 October 1986 and 01 October 1993.
Required height and weight - Applicant must be of minimum 157.5 cms height and should have correlated weight. Applicants belonging to North East and hilly areas will enjoy height relaxation of 5 cms. Candidates from Lakshadweep will have 2 cms height relaxation.
Required visual standards - Distant vision correctable upto 6/6 and 6/18.
Required physical fitness - Candidates should be able to run 2.4 Kms in 15 minutes. One should be able to do 13 push ups and 25 sit ups. Also candidates who want to become technical officers in Indian Army through 41st SSC (Technical) Men course, should be able to do 6 chin ups and also should be able to climb 3-4 meter rope.
Method of selection - Shortlisted candidates will be asked to undergo five day SSB interview and final selection will be based on the recommendations of Services Selection Board.
