Combined Defence Services Examination CDSE entrance exam is held by UPSC twice in a year to shortlist candidates for SSB interviews and after conducting interview, recommended candidates will become officers in Indian Armed Forces. CDSE I 2013 exam was held on 10 November 2012 in various UPSC centers of India.

Results of CDSE I 2013 were declared in June 2013. Indian Air Force has released SSB interview dates of 195 Flying Pilot course for NCC candidates as well as candidates who applied through CDSE. IAF has shortlisted candidates for SSBs based on the first choice of preference filled up by candidates in their CDSE examination forms.

All those who are recommended y AFSBs will become pilots in IAF if they successfully pass the training. SSB call letters are being dispatched by IAF officials but in case any candidate does not receive any call letter, he may take print out and report to SSB interview board. SSB interview is scheduled on 26th August 2013 at Mysore, Dehradun and Varanasi Air Force Selection Boards.
