Indian Navy has invited applications from final year engineering students for its University Entry Scheme course commencing in June 2015. Indian Navy is offering executive, technical and submarine branch officers posts for all aspirants who want to become an officer in Navy through UES course.
Indian Navy UES June 2015 Eligibility Criteria
In order to apply for Indian Navy's University Entry Course, applicant must fulfill the following eligibility criteria.Executive branch Eligibility Criteria
- General Service (X)
- Applicant must be male.
- Applicant can opt for Permanent Commissioning or Short Service Commissioning.
- Applicant must have studied with any of the following streams. (i) Mechanical (ii) Marine (iii) Aeronautical (iv) Production (v) Computer Men PC& Service (X) Science Engineering (vi) Information Technology (vii) Control (viii) Electrical SSC (ix) Electronics (x) Telecommunication.
- Pilot
- Applicant must be male.
- Applicants with any stream of BE / B Tech are eligible to apply.
- Applicants should have studied Physics and Maths at 10+2 level.
- SSC is offered for pilot posts.
- Observer
- Applicant must be male.
- Applicants with any stream of BE / B Tech are eligible to apply.
- Applicants should have studied Physics and Maths at 10+2 level.
- SSC is offered for observer posts.
- IT
- Applicant must be male.
- Applicants with any of Information Technology, Computer Science Engineering or Computer Engineering stream of BE / B Tech are eligible to apply.
- SSC is offered for IT officer posts.
- Logistics (Works)
- Both men and women may apply for this branch.
- Applicants with Civil or Architecture stream of BE / B Tech are eligible to apply.
- SSC is offered for logistics and works branch posts.
Technical / Submarine branch eligibility criteria
- Engineering Branch
- Only men may apply for this branch.
- Applicants with (i) Mechanical (ii) Marine (iii) Automobile (iv) Mechtronics (v) Instrumentation (vi) Production Engineering (vii) Metallurgy (viii) Aeronautical (ix) Aerospace (x) Automation & Robotics (xi) Industrial Engineering & Management stream of BE / B Tech are eligible to apply.
- SSC is offered for engineering branch officer posts.
- Electrical Branch
- Only men may apply for this branch.
- Applicants with (i) Electrical (ii) Electronics (iii) Tele Communications (iv) Electronics and Instrumentation (v) Electronics and Communication (vi) Power Engineering (vii) Control System Engineering (viii) Power Electronics (ix) Instrumentation and Control (x) Avionics

- Naval Architecture
- Both women and men may apply for this branch.
- Applicants with mechanical, civil, aeronautical, aero space, metallurgy and naval architecture stream of BE / B Tech are eligible to apply.
- SSC is offered for electrical branch officer posts.
