1 The election results were out. Another victory for Ravindran in his constituency Mandi. It was the third consecutive time he was elected as an MP from this constituency, his hometown. Ravindran came from a family of farmers, one of the few well to do farmer families, who could manage to send their son to a convent boarding school in Dharamshala. After passing from school the desire to become a politician inclined him towards pursuing graduation and post- graduation degrees in Political Science. Though he spent most of his life away from his village, the sweet memories of his childhood, the fields and the crops, the simple lifestyle in village was still dear to him. He wanted to provide good opportunities to the people from his village and wished that none of them had to leave theirs roots in order to achieve
