Indian Air Force personnel quarantined | Tablighi Markaz congregation area connection

Slowly positive cases of COVID-19 Corona virus are increasing in India and the Indian Armed Forces are also not an exception to this. Recently two Indian Army officers have been tested positive for Corona virus and few top officials of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) of India have been tested positive for COVID-19.

One Indian Air Force kept under quarantine for COVID-19 as a precautionary measure

One IAF personnel has been kept under quarantine as the person has visited the Delhi's Nizamuddin area when there was the infamous Tablighi Markaz congregation was underway. More than 60 percent of cases of positive COVID-19 are attributed to the Tablighi Markaz Jamaat in the last two days in India.

As the IAF official had visited the nearby place though not exactly attended the Tablighi Markaz congregation, he has been kept under quarantine as a precautionary measure and IAF is following the set procedures for dealing with such cases.

Two IAF official's contacts also kept under quarantine

Two contacts who have contacted the quarantined IAF personnel have also been ordered to self-quarantine in their respective homes. They will have to be in self-quarantine for the next fourteen days where IAF medical officers will closely monitor the situation.

Delhi police have identified and ascertained the quarantined IAF personnel with the help of cellphone towers in the Nizamuddin area. They had informed the IAF officials and then the action as per the Government guidelines, further action is being followed up by the administration. 

IAF officials have been constantly under vigil as COVID-19 positive cases are on the rise across the country.
