Personal Protective Equipment is famous for its short name that is the PPE kit. Every medical staff let be a doctor or a sanitization worker working in a COVID-19 hospital want to have PPE kits to protect themselves from the deadly Coronavirus. The cost of PPE kits in India is very high as they are earlier imported from other countries. Recently more and more organizations such as Indian Railways and DRDO have started producing the PPE kits for a relatively lower cost. 

When it comes to innovative ideas that are the need of the hour to save money and men during the Coronavirus pandemic, the Indian Navy has always stood upfront and showed that it is second to none. After developing a low-cost thermal temperature sensing gun used for thermal sensing, the Indian Navy has now come up with its low-cost PPE kit that is of high quality.

As the patent of the Indian Navy's PPE kit which can be produced at a very very lower cost has been successfully filed by the Intellectual Property Facilitation Cell (IPFC), the Indian Navy is all set to start mass production of the PPE kits. The man behind the development of low-cost PPE kit

Who other than a doctor can understand the importance of PPE kit for medical staff during the Coronavirus pandemic? So a doctor of Indian Navy has developed a low-cost PPE kit that can be produced at an affordable cost. Indian Navy has set up a special Innovation Cell at the Institute of Naval Medicine (INM), Mumbai, and the doctor who had developed the PPE kit is posted at the INM.

Indian Navy's PPPE kit is very special as it has the following qualities that are expected from a high-quality PPE kit:-

• Provides high-level protection to the medical staff from Coronavirus.
•  Provides high breathability for the medical staff wearing the Indian Navy's developed PPE kit.
• Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) approved Testing Lab has validated and thoroughly tested.

When the Indian Navy will start production of PPE kits?

Currently, the Indian Navy is all set to start production and is in the process of identifying potential Start-ups for this. Soon the Indian Naval PPE kits will be available in the Indian markets. We hope that one day Indian Navy would start exporting the PPE kits to other countries too.
